Broncos linebacker, Brandon Marshall lost his endorsement with Air Academy Federal Credit Union after kneeling during the national anthem, in solidarity with his former teammate, Colin Kaepernick.
“Although we have enjoyed Brandon Marshall as our spokesperson over the past five months, Air Academy Federal Credit Union (AAFCU) has ended our partnership,” Glenn Strebe, the AAFCU’s president and CEO wrote in a Facebook statement. “AAFCU is a membership-based organization who has proudly served the military community for over 60 years. While we respect Brandon’s right of expression, his actions are not a representation of our organization and membership. We wish Brandon well on his future endeavors.”
Clearly, this union that is supposed to assist our veterans stationed at the United States Air Force Academy at Lowry Air Force Base, and lists “integrity” as one of their values, knows absolutely nothing about the rights those soldiers fight to protect. I definitely wouldn’t trust such ignorant people with my money. I would go so far as to say they should be investigated. Who knows if they’reapplying this logic to your equitable assets?
Of course, Brandon is taking this all in stride and doesn’t regret his actions. The linebacker has stated that he is also planning on donating some money to assist underprivileged and profiled children. Hopefully, his teammates can follow his lead.
Side Note: Gary Kubiak is a dumbass.
